Packers and movers charges in Gurgaon: the honest 2026 guide

Ask five movers in Gurgaon for a quote and you will get five very different numbers — sometimes ₹8,000 apart for the same 2 BHK. This guide explains what moving actually costs in and from Gurgaon in 2026, why quotes differ, and how to compare them so the cheapest quote does not become the most expensive move.
Local shifting within Gurgaon
For a move within the city — say Sector 56 to a Sohna Road society — expect these ranges, including packing material, labour, transport, unloading and reassembly:

Intercity moves from Gurgaon
Intercity pricing is driven by distance, volume and whether your goods travel in a dedicated vehicle or share space as a part-load. As a rule of thumb from Gurgaon: Delhi NCR destinations run ₹6,000–20,000; Jaipur or Chandigarh ₹10,000–35,000; and long hauls like Bangalore, Mumbai or Pune ₹18,000–60,000 for a full household. Part-load can cut smaller moves by 30–40% in exchange for a delivery window instead of a fixed day. Adding a car to the consignment costs ₹6,000–22,000 depending on the route — cheaper than booking a separate carrier.
The charges that surprise people
- Floor/shuttle charges — no lift, or a truck that cannot reach your gate, adds labour. A proper survey prices this upfront; a phone quote discovers it on moving day.
- Packing material “extras” — the classic low-quote trick. Confirm in writing that all material is included.
- GST — 5% on transport-only, 18% on full service. An invoice-free discount also means no insurance claim if something breaks.
- Toll, parking and society entry — small amounts, but ask whether they are inside the quote.
- Storage overlap — if possession is delayed, warehousing is billed per week. Agree the rate before the move, not after your goods are on the truck.
How to compare quotes properly
Get every quote in writing after a survey (video surveys are fine). Put the totals side by side only after checking each includes: material, dismantling and reassembly, floor charges at both ends, GST, and the insurance premium if you want cover. A quote ₹3,000 lower that excludes material and floors is not lower. And treat any mover who will not put the number in writing as having answered your question already.
